Take part in one of the world’s oldest and most versatile functional art forms with creating a felting sit-upon! Taste of the Wind’s shepherdess, artist, and rancher, BJ Edwards, will teach wet felting of a small cushions using raw wool. She will cover what makes a good felting cover, the versatility of the fiber and the process, and some tips and tricks for practicality and efficiency. This class will give participants a chance to card, pick, and develop a basic layout with raw locally-grown Icelandic wool. Everyone will get to leave with a finished product.

This workshop requires handling raw sheep fleece which does contain lanolin, dirt, and vegetable matter (grass/hay/weeds). If you have a known lanolin allergy or sensitive skin, please do not enroll in this course.
